I am an at-home mother of five children (although I prefer 'domestic engineer' to 'at-home mom'), ages 6 through 13.  Two are biological and the other three are my step-children (although 'step' is an ugly term going back to Cinderella).  I feel raising five kids, combining families, the whole 'step' issue, the 'other parent', kids, and their activities, second marraiges, etc. etc. etc. is more than enough to write about.  But, in actuality, I find writing a wonderful escape and a means of relaxation.  Therefore, as much as I love my kiddo's, I have a sneaking suspiscion that more of my articles will be devoted to health, fitness, and fashion.  All three of which I love. 

I have no formal training in writing and am quite the novice.  I received my AA from Diablo Valley College, and went on to Chico State California with a major in Business/Marketing.  After my children were born I went back to school and aquired my certificate in Early Childhood Education from Lake Tahoe Community College. 

Having not yet written an article, it is my hope that this site can be my bridge to a fun and rewarding outlet.
